Data controller

Byteway LLC is the controller of the personal data processed in FeedUnder.

What data we process

Only what the service needs:

  • Account data: email address, name and, if you sign in with Google or another provider, the identifier that provider gives us.
  • Usage profile: the niche and positioning you enter during onboarding, used to guide research.
  • API keys: we store only a hash and a prefix to recognize them, never the full key, plus the last-used date.
  • Research: the topics and parameters you request, their status, the results and the credits consumed.
  • Technical data: access and error logs produced by the servers while handling requests.

What we use it for

To create and secure your account, run the research you request, keep track of your credits, show you your history and resolve issues. We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising and do not install analytics tools or tracking cookies.

Who we share it with

With the providers that run the service, each with only what it needs:

  • Authentication service: sign-in and account management.
  • Hosting: the website, the API and the connector.
  • Database: hosted in the European Union.
  • Processing: servers that run the research, in the European Union.
  • Data providers: they receive only the search terms of each research run, never your account data.

Data from public posts

Reports contain data that authors published openly on social media (username, text, metrics and link). FeedUnder processes it to deliver it in the report and keeps it with the research run so you can look it up again. If you are the author of a post and want it removed from our reports, write to the support address.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open. If you close it or ask us to delete it, we erase your account data, profile, keys and research runs, except what the law requires us to keep.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, its correction, its erasure, a portable copy, or that we stop processing it, by writing to the support address. If you are in the European Union you can also lodge a complaint with your country’s data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we do with your data we will update this page and the date above. If the change is significant we will notify you beforehand.
